Good-natured troublemaker "Cyclone" Tom Saunders (Tom Tyler) is hired by a ranchers' association manager to investigate recent cattle rustling at one of their ranches and to see if a pair of nesters have anything to do with it. After discovering the nesters, pretty Betty Powell (Jean Carmen) and her rickety old father (Earl Dwire), are incapable of rustling, Tom instead turns his attention to the huge, swaggering bully of a foreman, Nate Lenox (Richard Alexander).

Jim Traft (Benny Baker) gets rodeo champ Travis (Tom Keene) to take his place as the new owner of a ranch having trouble with rustlers. To stop the rustling Travis and his men build a drift fence. Out to stop them is Clay Jackson (Stanley Andrews) and his men led by Slinger Dunn (Buster Crabbe).

A cowboy whose friend has been swindled out of his ranch and then murdered must take care of the man's son, then he goes after the killers.

Money is mysteriously disappearing from a locked trunk atop the stage even though the trunk arrives still locked. When pals Bob Rivers (Bob Steele) and Grizzly (George 'Gabby' Hayes) get the jop driving the stage, the same thing happens.

John Wayne plays Quirt Evans, a gunslinger with a nasty rep who is injured and nursed back to health by a Quaker family.

Out West (1918) A Fatty Arbuckle comedy including performances by Buster Keaton and Al St John. It is a parody of Western pictures of the way.

Chet Kasedon (Monte Blue) is after the Indians hidden gold mine but Chief Moya (Buster Crabbe) will not reveal it's location. He has also hired mining engineers Gale (Tom Keene) and Mortimer (Robert Cummings) to locate the mine. When Gale sees Kasedon's cruelty to Moya, he switches sides.

Tex (Tex Ritter) and sidekick Grass (Syd Saylor) join McGill's (William Faversham) traveling show. When Price (Forrest Taylor) has McGill's wagons burned, Tex becomes the county tax collector to earn money. This leads to trouble as one of those owing money is Price who says he will not pay.

The Marshal sends John Weston (John Wayne) to a rodeo to see if he can find out who is killing the rodeo riders who are about to win the prize money. Barton (Edward Peil Sr.) has organized the rodeo and plans to leave with all the prize money put up by the townspeople. When it appears that Weston will beat Barton's rider, he has his men prepare the same fate for him that befell the other riders.
